2012 - 2013 Season
The third season of the Santa Fe Jewish Film Festival (formerly the HaMakom Jewish Film Festival) opened on Oct 7th with the SOLD OUT screening of the critically acclaimed documentary, Portrait of Wally. Wally is the saga of Egon Schiele’s painting of his mistress Wally Neuzil which was looted by the Nazis from its Jewish owner. The legal battle for Wally's return became one of the most influential art restitution cases of all time.
What's new?
We are introducing two new film “genres” this season. The first, "Israel Upside Down and Sideways" will highlight films with different perspectives on the issues facing Israel today. The second, "Cinema Classics", will highlight films considered to be cinematic masterpieces and/or archival treasures.
We are offering FlexPasses for the first time. Four and six ticket passes can be used for any screening, with advance reservations, and represent a savings off regular ticket prices. You can also receive free tickets with donations of $125 or more.
